CBS Fires Exec. Who Thought Las Vegas Victims Were ‘Republican Gun Toters’ Who Had It Coming

In the wake of Sunday night’s tragic shooting at a Las Vegas concert, CBS Vice President and Senior Counsel Hayley Geftman-Gold posted an incredibly offensive statement on her Facebook profile.

She wrote:

If they wouldn’t do anything when children were murdered I have no hope that Repugs [sic] will ever do the right thing. I’m actually not even sympathetic bc [sic] country music fans often are Republican gun toters [sic].

With 59 dead and over 500 injured, the attack on concert-goers at the annual Route 91 Harvest Music Festival is the deadliest shooting in American history. Yet, Geftman-Gold appears to believe the victims themselves are to blame, simply because of their political beliefs.

CBS terminated Geftman-Gold’s employment with the company just hours after the statement was posted and released a statement saying:

This individual, who was with us for approximately one year, violated the standards of our company and is no longer an employee of CBS. Her views as expressed on social media are deeply unacceptable to all of us at CBS. Our hearts go out to the victims in Las Vegas and their families.

It is important to remember that anti-2nd Amendment liberals like Geftman-Gold are ideologically motivated and purposefully ignorant of the fact that guns do save lives. For example, see this chart comparing American gun ownership growth to a decline in the overall murder rate from the American Enterprise Institute:
