Planned Parenthood Enters the Online Dating Business

PollingPlanned Parenthood - OkCupid shows millennials may be one of the most pro-life generations in recent history. In fact, 53% of this demographic believes abortion should be illegal or illegal with exceptions for cases of rape, incest, or to save the life of the mother.

That is probably something a dating services should consider before partnering with largest provider of abortions in the country to “screen” for potential dating matches, especially given that millennials are the age group most likely to patronize a dating service.

Concerned Women for America’s Penny Nance writes:

The dating website OkCupid, which has admitted in the past to doing social experiments on their users, has partnered with Planned Parenthood.  Those who want to find a date on the website will have to answer this question: “Should the government defund Planned Parenthood?” If they answer in the negative, then a cute pink badge will appear on their profile photo along with the hashtag #IStandWithPP.

Of course, Cosmopolitan thinks this is a great idea because “defunding Planned Parenthood would have an irreconcilable impact on women’s healthcare across the country, and particularly on low-income communities that overwhelmingly rely on Planned Parenthood for contraception, screenings, and abortion care” and to match with someone who doesn’t agree would be “totally terrible.”

It is very likely the liberal echo-chamber in leadership at OkCupid agrees with Cosmo’s belief that dating someone who doesn’t celebrate Planned Parenthood’s abortion business would be “terrible.” After all, IAC (InterActiveCorp), the parent company of the dating service and several others, is also the owner of the left-leaning Daily Beast online news service. Furthermore, liberals like Chelsea Clinton, Barry Diller (billionaire supporter of Barack Obama and Michael Bloomberg), and Michael Eisner (former CEO of Disney) sit on IAC’s Board of Directors.

However, there’s a very specific reason pro-life millennials will be wanting to avoid OkCupid. In addition to the partnership, OkCupid will be matching donations to Planned Parenthood made on its platform up to $50,000.
